Emma Dove
The local landscape, nature and the textures of daily life provide inspiration for my work. I enjoy experimenting with techniques, patterns and layers of colour to produce mixed media paintings and various types of printmaking such as linoprints and collagraphs.
I trained and worked as a graphic designer, having moved to Kent 25 years ago. I now work from my studio at home in Kingsnorth, which is open to the public during South East Open Studios each year in June. My work can be seen at local galleries and exhibitions. I also take part in public art projects such as the Snowdogs art trail and Elmers Big Heart of Kent Parade in Maidstone.
Commissioned work includes working with architects, interior designers and local councils. Recent projects include an exterior mural for the Panorama building in Ashford and a large interior piece for the new Hampton by Hilton Ashford International hotel.
