Ken Sinyard
After graduating from Croydon College of art, in 1974, I spent the next forty five years in the publishing industry as a magazine and newspaper designer: as an art editor on ‘The Financial Times’, ‘Classical Music’ magazine, ‘BBC radio 3’ magazine, and various arts, medical and interior magazines, finally ending my career back at the BBC in central London.
Since retiring to Hythe over three years ago, I have continued with my photography and digital prints combining, creative effects and original images. I exhibit my work by means of high quality limited edition Giclée-prints.
I exhibited at Nantwich in 2018, The Dirty Pen Studio in Folkestone, and recently The Royal Norfolk Hotel in Sandgate in November 2019 as part of the celebration of 'Folkestone music town' (the money raised was put towards helping the plaque dedicated to artists who played in Folkestone. The first plaque was unveiled on 25 January 2020 to Jimi Hendrix, and local resident Noel Redding. Others are planned for the future to celebrate the rich cultural history of this area.)
I am currently working on a new exhibition of cultural icons, which so far includes Noel Coward, George Orwell and Rory Gallagher.
