Leigh Norgrove
I am currently known for small paintings of landscapes and seascapes. By chance I came across a completely different medium(100% wool fibres) and was captivated.
I found the way the fibres can be manipulated, colour mixed and layered very absorbing. The results are surprising as from a distance can look like a traditional watercolour or pastel painting.
I use photographs from my trips and colour notes at the time to inform my paintings. I am continually exploring and currently using wool fibres from Romney Marsh Sheep.
