Ceramics grabbed me later in life, about eleven years ago at the Cube.
The adventure with clay started with a basic skills course in ceramics and then supplemented with Raku workshops with master potters in the UK and also in Croatia. Other than that I have learned along the way, from many mistakes and some successes.
I love the feel of clay and enjoy allowing it to have its wicked way when making pots. The form emerges with its organic form really not dictated by me and so is always a one off!
Recent work includes a series of Raku Goddess pots and stoneware platters inspired by photos of Earth from space.
Raku is my passion! It’s exciting, dangerous, totally unpredictable and wondrously combines earth, fire, water and air in a magical, alchemical process to produce stunning results. Ask me!
