Phillippa Goddard
Everything starts with a basic love of drawing and composition with the added joy of 'colouring in' and experimenting with different media. Close to home, on Romney Marsh, I'm surrounded by landscape, structures and events which combine to tell stories that I can make into pictures.
In recent years, alongside regularly exhibiting my studio work, I've taken on various public art challenges from giant gable-end murals in Folkestone and New Romney to painting a large fibreglass dog in Ashford as part of the 2018 Snowdog Trail, contributing a tile design for ‘Strange Cargo’s Votive Fishing Fleet installation at St Peter's Church, Folkestone and showing in the prestigious ING Discerning Eye 2020 exhibition.
The art adventure continues and I look forward to what comes next.
