Geoffrey Sainsbury
I initially trained as a cartographic draughtsman for the Ministery of Defence when I left school in 1972 working on street maps of Londonderry! Since then I have found my vocation in gardening, I moved to Kent in 1980 when I took charge of a 20 acre private garden in Wye.
My enthusiasm for watercolour reached a new level after my first ever painting holiday in the South of France in 2001. I’m happiest doing paintings full of life, lots of people, lots of sunshine, lots of shadows and, hopefully, lots to look at.
I regularly exhibit with Pilgrims Way Artists in Lenham and the Kent Painters' Group in Sevenoaks.
The Francis Iles Gallery in Rochester and Churchmouse Studios in Hythe always keep a stock of my work. Happy customers from all over the world have bought my paintings.
