Hayley Restall is a mixed media artist with a particular fondness for cutting up 1970s magazines, scribbling with coloured pens and making a mess with watercolour and acrylic.
Hayley studied Fine Art at the University of Sunderland and, after a 10 year career in a national museum, is now a full time artist. She works mainly on commission, creating quirky family portraits, but also creates original paintings, calendars, prints and notecards. Hayley is inspired by the everyday world around her, making ordinary views beautiful, often adding a generous dollop of artistic license to create unlikely situations within ordinary landscapes.
Hayley lives and works on the Kent coast, with her family of two other humans and four animals.
